Vegan Cauliflower Wings

Delicious vegan recipe you’ll want to make over and over again. We skipped the hot sauce version (not great for people with liver issues), but you may want to try making those for your friends. Check out the video for all 3 recipes.

Ingredients

For the Wings

  • 1 large head of cauliflower cut into florets
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose or rice flour
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper

BBQ Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon vegan butter, melted
  • Your favorite bottled sauce!

Salt & Vinegar Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon vegan butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • sea salt, to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  2. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  3. Mix all the Wing ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  4. Submerge each cauliflower floret into the mix and tap off the excess on the side of the bowl.
  5. Place the dipped florets in a single layer on the prepared baking sheets.
  6. Bake 15 minutes then flip to brown on the other side.
  7. Bake another 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. While baking prepare the sauce of your choice (or both) in two separate large bowls.
  9. Remove the cauliflower from the oven and put the florets into the sauce(s) and toss to coat.
  10. Place the florets back onto the baking sheets in a single layer. If you are using the Salt & Vinegar sauce sprinkle these cauliflower florets with sea salt.
  11. Bake another 25 minutes – flipping the florets over half way through the bake time.

If you have any sauce leftover, brush it onto the cauliflower when it exits the oven. You can serve the BBQ wings with with your favorite Ranch dressing or try this recipe.
