What Causes Hemochromatosis?
Hemochromatosis is a common genetic disorder in the United States. Even though the genetic defect of hemochromatosis is present at birth, symptoms rarely appear before adulthood – usually between the ages of 30 and 50 in men and after age 50 in women.
